St Jerome's Laneway Festival began in 2004 when two visionary young Melbournites – Jerome Borazio and Danny Rogers – decided that summers in Melbourne would be far better with more live music in unexpected settings.

Five (almost six!) years later, Laneway has taken over the entire country, visiting parks, showgrounds and – of course – laneways in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Sound good? We think so too. That's why MINI is a devoted sponsor of the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. This year the line up includes Mumford & Sons, Florence and the Machine, The XX, Black Lips, Dappled Cities and MINI! That’s right, make sure to keep your eye out for the latest MINI models kitted up in their best festival gear on display across the country.

The festival’s not the only thing to get excited about, because for the 2010 event, MINI and Laneway are collaborating on a limited edition ‘Laneway Loves’ CD that includes tracks from Dappled Cities, Eddy Current, Mumford & Sons, The Temper Trap and more! You’ll find it on the cover of YEN magazine in January, as well as at each Laneway Festival event, and from your local MINI Garage. If you want a taster straight away, we have a free download of Mumford & Sons album track ‘Roll Away Your Stone’ for you – just head here to start the download. Originally from London, Mumford & Sons have been burning around the world on the back of their album Sigh No More and are MINI’s Laneway ‘one to watch’.

Tickets to Laneway Festival 2010 are already selling fast, but to get you amongst the music, MINI has a double pass (valid at $200) to your local festival to give away! To enter, click here and in 25 words or less tell us why MINI and Laneway make a perfect partnership. Tickets will be drawn and winners notified on Friday 15th January 2010 by email.
